THE POSITIVE PERIOD PROJECT - October 4, 12, 19, 6pm-8pm - £55 per session
In collaboration with Hawthorn Wellbeing, NORMA presents a three‑part programme for mothers and pre-teens, designed for your daughter to build confidence, connection and body literacy as she prepares for her period.
The Positive Period Project will be delivered in three weekly Monday evening workshops in a small group of 5 Mother/Daughter pairs.
What to expect:
Workshop 1: The Holding Circle
Monday 4 October, 6pm-8pm
Mothers only
A calm, supportive session to help mothers feel steady, informed & ready to walk alongside their daughter’s journey
A grounding circle space
Gentle mindful movement and stillness
Compassionate enquiry into personal experiences (sharing optional)
Orientation to programme themes and syllabus
Optional creative elements
Workshop 2: The Seasons
Monday 12 October, 6-8pm
Mother & Daughter Session
A shared workshop, this session introduces the menstrual cycle in a positive, age appropriate way while strengthening the mother/daughter bond.

Monday 19 October, 6–8pm
Daughters only (Drop‑off)
A practical, confidence building session. This workshop is factual, empowering & designed to help girls feel informed & confident as they grow.
Understanding internal and external anatomy
What periods are and what to expect
Cycle basics and body changes
Period products, preparation and practicalities
Space for questions in a safe, supportive environment
Creative activity
Investment:
Priced £55 per session, £165 in total per Mother & Daughter pair
Pay a non-refundable £55 deposit online to secure your place.
Balance of £110 is due one month prior to the event, 4 September.
Refreshments included.
About the Practitoner:
Amy of Hawthorn Wellbeing is a Yoga teacher, Mother & Menstrual Educator who creates calm, supportive spaces for girls and parents. Her work brings together gentle movement, clear information & simple practices that help people feel steady, confident & well supported. She teaches children & family Yoga, coming of age circles & women’s wellbeing workshops.
